$10,000 Grant Award for Research
The CTSC/ECHO Clinical Investigators Program is offering a limited number of
competitive awards of up to $10,000 to support the research projects of faculty fully participating in the program.
To be Eligible to Apply:
- Principal Investigator must be a full-time faculty participant in the CTSC/ECHO Clinical Investigators Program.
- The proposed project must be approved by the PI’s mentor in the program.
- The PI cannot have substantial (more than $50,000) extramural support for her/is research.
- The proposed project must begin during the PI’s first year in the CTSC/ECHO Clinical Investigators Program and must
be completed before the end of the PI’s tenure in the program.
- PI must have presented an abstract of the project at a dinner meeting of the CTSC/ECHO Clinical Investigators Program before submitting an application for this award.
Use of Funds:
- Funds may not be used for salary support for the PI or other faculty members. Funds may be used to hire student employees or other temporary employees.
- Funds may not be used for out-of-state travel. Funds may be used for in-state travel if it is essential to conduct the project’s activities; e.g., to travel to a (remote) site/community to interview subjects.
- Funds may not be used to purchase computers, printers, PDAs or other electronic devices.
- Funds may be used to purchase equipment only if it is essential to conduct project activities and is not available from other sources for use on the project.
