Department of Internal Medicine - Office of Research

What we do

The Office of Research supports faculty and staff investigators in the Department of Internal Medicine. The office also provides administrative support to the department and the Clinical and Translational Science Center especially in areas related to research.

In 2008, the National Institute of Health released the ranking of the Top 110 recipient institutions to include hospitals, institutes, medical schools, universities, etc. UNM's Department of Internal Medicine was listed as 50th in the nation as a recipient of extramural funding.*
