Microarray Data Analysis

The KUGR facility provides the highest-quality analysis of microarray data sets, employing state-of-the-art tools such as GeneSpring and Significance Analysis of Microarrays. KUGR staff have analyzed data sets for dozens of laboratories and have produced high quality figures for numerous publications and grant applications.

The KUGR Facility provides a full range of data analysis services including:

  • Pre-experiment consultation and assistance with experimental design issues related to microarray and genomics experiments

  • Customized data analysis using filtering and statistical methods that take advantage of the quality controls built in to the Affymetrix system

  • Preparation of publication-quality figures for papers or grant applications

  • Storage of MIAME-compliant data and assistance with up-loading data sets to databases for publication

We specialize in the use of several sophisticated data analysis software packages including:

The KUGR facility also co-ordinates the purchase of genomics software through the UNM Office of Research, which allows UNM faculty the opportunity to purchase software at discounted prices.
