The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico is committed to providing the highest quality neurosurgical care to our patients, rigorous training of our resident physicians, and advancing the practice of our specialty through laboratory and clinical research.

Neurosurgery is the surgical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders that affect the nervous system including the brain, spinal column, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. At the University of New Mexico we treat both adult and pediatric patients.
