Dr. Taylor received his medical degree from
Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After a general
surgery internship he completed the neurosurgery residency at University
Hospitals of Cleveland.
Following residency training Dr. Taylor completed a Fellowship in Endovascular
Surgical Neuroradiology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
Following his formal training Dr. Taylor practiced neurological surgery
and endovascular neurosurgery in El Paso, Texas. He joined the faculty
of the University of New Mexico in January, 2006. Dr. Taylor is an assistant Professor of
Neurosurgery with a joint appointment in the Department of Radiology.
Dr. Taylor has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on topics including the epidemiology of subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical and endovascular management of brain aneurysm, the acute management of stroke and others.
