Dr. Marchand graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1980. After an Internship in Bridgeport, CT, he completed residency in Neurosurgery at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. In 1986 he returned to New Mexico where he has practiced pediatric and adult neurosurgery in Albuquerque, Farmington, and Santa Fe.
Dr. Marchand is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, certified in 1989.
