I was born and raised in Roswell, NM (Alien town!). I love the weather, beautiful scenery and people of New Mexico. I chose to stay for medical school and now residency because I love this state and hope to eventually practice here. I love spending time with my family and friends during my free time and have been very happy to still find that time even with a busy resident's schedule. OB/GYN is wonderful, especially here, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this residency as I know it will prepare me to be a competent and successful physician.

I am originally from coastal Maine. I attended undergrad in Vermont at Middlebury College, and then med school at Dartmouth in New Hampshire. After spending my whole life in New England, I decided it was time to experience life in a different part of the country. New Mexico certainly is different! I have fallen in love with the natural beauty of the mountains, the sunsets, the hot springs, the unique laid-back culture, the diverse patient population, and the green chile breakfast burritos! I feel that I am getting a high quality education, and truly enjoy working with my fellow residents and faculty. We laugh a lot. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, cooking and reading with my partner, Martha, and our two chocolate labs. I mostly pretend that my three cats don’t exist.

It's great to be a New Mexican again! I was born and raised in Santa Fe and left New Mexico at the end of high school. I spent 7 years on the east coast in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, one year in Argentina, and then medical school in Chicago. As much as I loved my time away, I'm excited to be back home for residency, and hopefully for good! My husband, Brant, is also a native New Mexican and we enjoy skiing, biking, backpacking with our dog, Gunther, and spending time with friends. We are happy to be close to family and will share family with anyone far from home! I am especially taken by the New Mexican views and sunsets. This residency program has been a perfect mix of great people, top-notch education, and a diverse patient population. Feel free to email me with any questions about life as a resident in Albuquerque!

Originally from the west, my wife and I moved to Virginia for medical school. It was great being back east but we were excited to return to the laid-back atmosphere of the west, be closer to family, and hike/camp/ski in real mountains again. We ultimately decided on New Mexico because it was such a great fit for us. While interviewing, I was amazed that everyone was so nice and seemed genuinely happy. I was also impressed with the program, which provides excellent training (including experience that can't be beat in ultrasound and hands-on robotic surgery, as well as very interesting pathology due to UNM being the referral center for such a large geographic area) while still maintaining the laid-back, happy atmosphere of the southwest. Of course, residency is still hard and the hours are sometimes long, but at least I'm going through it with people I truly enjoy being around.

When I'm not at the hospital, I can usually be found playing with my girls (3 daughters), working on house projects, camping, watching hot air balloons, eating green chile breakfast burritos, or playing soccer with a bunch of residency folks. We love it here!
