Oriented toward New Mexico's Unique Cultures

Our educational and research efforts are especially oriented toward New Mexico’s unique populations and cultures, with strengths in areas such as diseases of coagulation, infectious diseases including viral diseases that are transmitted by animals and arthropods, leukemia and other forms of cancer, forensic sciences, and the epidemiology of cancer, injury and infectious diseases, and kidney disorders.
