The Department of Pathology is committed to improving human health through disease oriented research and education. Emphases include serving New Mexico's special populations and needs in respiratory, infectious and kidney diseases and cancer diagnosis & treatment. Our mission to promote rigorous graduate & post graduate training in contemporary cell and molecular biology research and education. An integrated program of mentoring, journal and research clubs, formal courses,   laboratory research and career development opportunities serve to  prepare trainees to pursue health related career opportunities in research & education.
