Bruce S. Edwards. Ph.D. is a Research Associate Professor of Pathology and Scientific
Coordinator of the Shared Flow Cytometry Resource at the University of New Mexico. He lists
more than 50 publications describing research studies in cellular immunology, signal transduction
and cell adhesion. Currently funded research includes studies of cell adhesion mechanisms by
which eosinophils migrate into lungs to promote asthma and resolution of processes governing
leukocyte integrin-dependent cell adhesion. He is also active in the development of hardware
and software systems to improve flow cytometry technology. Recent examples include NIH funded
development of the Plug Flow and HypercytTM Cytometry systems for automated high throughput
analysis of cells and bio-particles.
