Following is an overview of the
benefits package that will be available to you as a full-time employee.
PTO and EIB – Your accrual
rate for PTO will begin at 6.15 hours per pay period. PTO is to be used for all time away from work, i.e., vacation, holidays,
and sick days up to two per occurrence.
Your EIB benefit is for
long-term illnesses. EIB begins for
any illness lasting more than two scheduled workdays.
EIB accrues at the rate of 2.15 hours per pay period.
Group Medical Insurance – You
will be eligible for insurance benefits on the first day of the month following
the completion of two months of employment.
For example, if your effective full-time date of hire were August 1st,
you would become eligible for benefits on October 1, 2003. We offer a PPO with your choice of either a $300 or $1000 deductible.
Dental Insurance – The
hospital offers dental insurance through Aetna PPO.
The plan offers 100% coverage for preventive and diagnostic care, and 80%
coverage for restorative care.
Vision Insurance – The
hospital offers vision insurance through VSP Vision.
Spending Accounts – As a
full-time employee, you may deposit up to $230 bi-weekly to the Health Care
Flexible Spending Account, and up to $192 bi-weekly to the Day Care Flexible
Spending Account. These deductions
are made pre-tax.
Life Insurance – You may
select up to 5 times your annual salary for life insurance coverage. The premiums are based on your age. Dependent
Life Insurance is available with three options; $5,000 for each dependent,
$10,000 for each dependant, or $25,000 for your spouse and $10,000 for each
child.
Long Term and Short term
Disability – An option for LTD and STD that pays benefits equaling 60% or your
salary is offered. The premiums are
based on your age and annual salary.
Retirement Savings Plan – The
Company offers a two-part plan to assist you in planning for your future.
The 401 (k) allows you to save up to 50% of your gross salary. Nine different investment options are offered for your savings.

Pecos County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) is a new facility that serves the large Trans-Pecos Region. PCMH is located near the Big Bend area, as well as Fort Davis’ McDonald Observatory, and Guadalupe National Park. Fort Stockton is a progressive community in West Texas.
Pecos County Memorial Hospital Laboratory is a CAP Accredited Laboratory with State-of-the-Art equipment.
