Course Description: Supervised instruction in the performance of analytical procedures for various chemical analytes of blood and other body fluids, to include serology, in an affiliate chemistry laboratory. Taught 35-40 hours per week for approximately 3 weeks. Course Presentation: Minimum to maximum days for rotation per bench area in chemistry and serology are provided as a guideline. The amount of time spent on various automated analyzers may vary depending on the tests done on the instrument. Students will train on routine analyzers and in special chemistry to perform the tests on their checklists. Students are responsible for either assisting in a method evaluation, a QA/QC project, or presenting Tech Sample.

Grade for each section must be >72% for MLS to calculate the final grade. If < 72% in one section, then the grade for that section is the final grade. |
