General Affective Objectives

Students should show satisfactory performance in the following categories upon completion of the hematology course:

  1. Personal Qualifications:
    1. Presents a neat, clean appearance and complies with stated dress codes.
    2. Is self-reliant and adapts easily to situations.
    3. Interacts cooperatively with other students and instructors.
    4. Organizes own workload, leaving work area neat and orderly when finished.
    5. Performs new tasks eagerly.
  2. Professional Attitudes:
    1. Demonstrates dependability by regular and punctual attendance.
    2. Follows appropriate policy for reporting absences.
    3. Follows safety regulations.
    4. Demonstrates an interest in learning by:
      • coming prepared for a planned task
      • listening attentively to instructions
      • showing enthusiasm in all activities
    5. Accepts responsibility for own behavior.
    6. Admits mistakes and takes all necessary steps to correct them.
  3. Job Performance:
    1. Grasps instruction readily.
    2. Recognizes limitations and asks for guidance when necessary.
    3. Accepts instruction and constructive criticism in a mature manner.
    4. Shows initiative in the performance and completion of daily assignments.
    5. Recognizes procedure/result problems and informs instructor.
