Current Chronic Non-Malignant Pain Research Project
Our project was conducted from May through the end of November, 2007
A total of six different Practice Based Research Networks (BIGHORN, CaReNet, CRN/UCSF, RIOS-Net, SERCN & SPUR-Net) participated in the project
Over 1200 clinicians were invited to participate
Two web surveys were conducted, with a paper based version of the survey sent to initial non-responders
Our project is currently winding down and PRIME-Net has concluded collecting data for the research program to better understand the impact that chronic
non-malignant pain (CNMP) visits have on primary care clinicians and their practices.
We are now analyzing this information, and we hope to use it to
plan for additional projects aimed at helping clinicians become more comfortable and effective in managing their CNMP patients.
