PRIME-Net was formed in June of 2005, with three initial members; CaRe-Net, RIOS Net and SERCN. The first research project was a survey of clinician attitudes on the topic of Hepatitis C diagnosis and treatment. PRIME Net conducts collaborative primary care research to improve the health and well-being of the multiethnic patients and communities our members serve. Two new members joined PRIME-Net in 2006. The SPUR-Net research network from Houston, Texas joined in the spring and our newest member the CRN of UCSF joined this summer, along with BIGHORN, a partner member of CaReNet.
PRIME Net represents a collaboration of CaReNet, CRN/UCSF, RIOS Net, SERCN and SPUR-Net for the purpose of conducting
primary care practice-based research of national importance.
