The New Mexico Intimate Partner Violence Death Review Team (IPVDRT) is a statewide multidisciplinary team funded by the New Mexico Crime Victims Reparation Commission and administered by UNM’s Center for Injury Prevention Research and Education (CIPRE).
The IPVDRT has been tasked by the New Mexico Legislature (NM §31-22-4.1) with reviewing all domestic and sexual violence related deaths in the state in order to identify gaps in the responses to domestic and sexual violence at the community and statewide levels as well as create solutions for positive change for victims of domestic and sexual violence.
The IPVDRT’s ultimate goal is the prevention of all future domestic and sexual violence related injury and death.
