RHIP Evaluation
Evaluation is a critical area of any program, and from time to time the student will be asked to
participate in evaluation activities for this program. The evaluation tools that are used in the
RHIP were designed to accomplish the
following:
-
Assessment of tutorial sessions, group process, and faculty
group facilitator evaluation: At the completion of each case, students provide feedback about the
effectiveness of the tutorial sessions, cases, group process and the faculty group facilitator.
This assessment provides ongoing feedback to the
RHIP and measures the effectiveness of the problem-based learning method.
-
Pre/ Post Survey: You will be given a pre-assessment survey
to fill out at the first RHIP session.
This survey measures demographic variables as well as your responses to questions relating to
interdisciplinary health care and rural health care perceptions and abilities. At the end of your rural
experience you will be given a post-assessment survey with similar questions. The pre/post survey
measures effectiveness of the RHIP in
meeting its stated objectives and proposed outcomes.
-
Final Evaluation: The final assessment measures student
satisfaction with the various components of the
RHIP , and provides valuable information for
RHIP improvement.
-
Longitudinal Surveys: Longitudinal surveys are administered to
students who have graduated from this project and their respective disciplines. The
RHIP will endeavor to keep track of all
graduates to assess the long-term outcomes of
RHIP participation.
