There will be an annual fee for written confirmation of sign-in attendance at DCS and/or other Department of Psychiatry conferences from Certified Counselors, Psychologists and Social Workers. The fee and written request are due between April 30 and May 30, of the pertinent academic year and the fee has no bearing on the number of times attended. Individual written requests including those exempted from the fee (Department of Psychiatry affiliates) are required for confirmation. Please include office address, phone number and profession. An additional $35 fee will be charged for ALL requests mailed after May 30. See mailing address above.
The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
The Office of Continuing Medical Education designates this continuing medical education activity for a maximum of 1.5 Category 1 credits toward the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
The Office of Continuing Medical Education is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. Each program is acceptable for 1.5 credits for counselors who attend.
The New Mexico Board of Social Worker Examiners approved each above program for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit.
