Geriatric Psychotherapy

Often overlooked in older patients is the value of psychotherapy. Older patients struggle with many of the same issues as younger ones and can benefit from psychotherapy. Themes of bereavement, ambiguity, difficult transitions, unresolved trauma and personal issues are prevalent.

Fellows can take on individual psychotherapy patients or participate in “Senior Wisdom Group” therapy.

Faculty include: Yvonne Hall M.D., Lawrence Lazarus M.D., Terry Goldman senior clinic nurse.
