The Albuquerque VA Hospital’s outpatient memory clinic and neuropsychiatry service are the primary settings for fellow training. In Memory Clinic fellows assess outpatient referrals and recommend treatment. In both the Memory Clinic and the Neuropsychology Clinic, fellows will administer cognitive tests and formulate psychiatric and neurological interpretations from the results.
Fellows attend Neuro-psychology Rounds where patient and research presentations are discussed. Faculty include: John Adair M.D., Janice Knoefel M.D., Irene Ortiz MD, Rex Swanda PhD, Joseph Sadek PhD, Kathleen Haaland PhD.
