Interests:
I returned to the University of New Mexico in October of 2007 after working in the private sector briefly after completing my residency training.  I realized that I wanted to be more actively involved in research and education of both medical students and residents.

I am currently working in the field of addiction psychiatry and the dually diagnosed.  My research interests are alcohol dependence and the phenomenon of relapse.  Specifically, I am interested in looking at the relationship between anxiety and relapse, and in developing interventions to prevent relapse.
