Personal Statement
I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents and families through the Department of Psychiatry since 1988. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient services. I am actively involved in the teaching and supervision of trainees from various behavioral health disciplines. I co-teach the Ethics Seminar for child and adolescent psychiatry residents and psychology interns; this is an interactive seminar and I continue to develop my ethical practices. Through the years I have had many opportunities to develop therapeutic programs and I most recently helped develop and implement a community based wrap-around model of care for youth and families with multiple psychosocial problems. The Department has allowed me to pursue my interests in clinical work, teaching, community collaboration, program development and scholarship.
