The Department of Psychiatry has conducted a training program for residents since the inception of the Medical School. Since that time, the program has grown from having one single resident to a program with 38 general residents and typically 10 fellows in Child & Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction and Rural/Public Psychiatry programs. The faculty number more than 70, including some 68 psychiatrists, 12 psychologists, and a number of social workers, nurses, and others. In addition we have a wonderful and active volunteer clinical faculty who actively participate in our residency and fellowship programs.
