Resident Stipends (2007-2008)

• PGY-1             $41,773

• PGY-2             $43,015

• PGY-3             $44,825

• PGY-4             $46,608

Benefits provided at no cost to residents:

• $450 per year book allowance per resident

• Life Insurance - a $50,000 policy

• Long term disability insurance

• Professional Liability Insurance ("per occurrence" type)

• Meal tickets for on-call days at University Hospital

• 3 weeks paid vacation each year. Vacation time can be taken any time throughout the year as long as it is approved by the residency director and the appropriate clinical service supervisor

• Moonlighting

There are opportunities for residents to earning additional compensation available primarily in the PGY-3 and PGY-4 years of training.
