Resident and Fellow Social Activities

New residents and fellows and their families are immediately welcomed to the department upon their arrival in Albuquerque.  A welcome "happy-hour" is usually scheduled during the first week of July.  In addition to the many informal resident gatherings, other annual activities generally include activities such as a welcome barbecue with a meet and greet at a local Country Club and a formal winter retreat evening for the entire department during the month of December.  Past activities have included  hunting trips in Northern New Mexico and a four-wheeling trip in Colorado.
