Human Research Review Committee (HRRC-IRB)

Supported by the Human Research Protections Office

The HRRC is the UNMHSCs Institutional Review Board (IRB). An Institutional Review Board is a committee, operating under Federal regulations, State laws, and institutional policy. The committee reviews research involving human subjects to ensure the ethical and equitable treatment of those subjects. At present the HRRC is comprised of four committees that share equal authority and responsibility. Please Note: Effective April 21, 2008; The Human Research Protection Office under the HSC Office of Research has operational oversight of the UNM Main Campus IRB.
