Thank you for your interest in the University of New Mexico Biomedical Research Education Program! We offer an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to research education and training from undergraduate students through Post-Doctoral Fellows and Junior Faculty. Our Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP) provides a breadth of training in the biomedical sciences leading to the PhD or MS degree. The Masters of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) Program provides research experience to learners who have previously earned a terminal degree. For those who want a comprehensive training in both clinical sciences and a basic biomedical science discipline, we offer the MD/PhD program. Additionally, BREP offers Post-Doctoral training in research and education through the Academic Science Education & Research Training (ASERT) program. Regardless of which unique BREP programs you are interested in, you will have the opportunity to learn through coursework, collegial interactions with peers and faculty, and engage in independent learning through research.
There are many components that make up BREP. The BREP umbrella on the right illustrates these many aspects, some of which are still in the development process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the BREP staff. We look forward to working with you as you take the next step down your educational path!
