Applying to the program early is strongly encouraged. Only complete applications received by the deadline will be considered in the review sessions.
Tuition and Fees
All students are responsible for payment of the Health Sciences Center
Library and GPSA fees of $100 per semester. Tuition remission is available
to applicants who are UNM employees, but all other applicants will be
responsible for their own tuition.

with a paper application through the Office of Graduate
Studies.
International applicants should apply through
International Admissions.

Please make sure that all application packets are complete before sending to the BREP Office. This checklist will assist you in keeping track of your application.
Letter/Personal Statement - must use this form. Statement needs to be 3-5 pages and fully address the specific elements listed on the form.
Curriculum vitae (CV)
Three Letters of Recommendation - must use this form. Letters need to be submitted in a sealed envelope signed by the author diagonally across the sealed envelope flap.
Transcripts - all applicants must have attained a terminal degree (i.e., PhD, MD, PharmD). Official transcripts from EACH institution must be sent to UNM Admissions, as well as to the MSCR Office. (Note: GRE, MCAT, PCAT, TOEFL etc. not required).
Attendance at a MSCR Seminar - applicants must attend in either January or February. Please contact BREP staff for more information.
Mentoring Agreement - must use this form. Agreements are very specific mentoring plans that need to fully address the nine specific elements. Please use our sample mentoring agreement as a guideline.

Release Time (50% for the first year)
Other support (e.g. research funds, book/supply fees, travel to scientific meetings, etc.)
