H&E Staining

Routine H&E staining of paraffin of frozen sections. (Price does not include sectioning).

Fresh-Frozen Tissue Procurement

Tissue Micro Array (TMA) Design and Construction

$50 set up fee

Design and construction of a TMA paraffin block including organization of donor blocks and slides, creation of customized TMA worksheet, and preparation of recipient block (selection and review of cases is extra).

TMA Paraffin Sections

$12.00 per section (from HTR TMA block)

Microtome sectioning of an existing HTR TMA block to provide unstained paraffin sections of routine thickness.

Complex Sectioning

$3.00 per section

Microtome sectioning of paraffin blocks to provide unstained sections of increase thickness, or sectioning of TMA block (provided by client).

Micro Dissection

$3.50 per section

Micro dissection of paraffin sections to isolate specific areas of tissue for studies such as DNA extraction. (Paraffin sectioning not included).

Prospective Tissue Procurement

Dependent on specific project details.

$35.00 base fee

Prospective collection of tissue following an investigator’s specific requirements.

Lev I: procurement of specific tissue from gross room.

Lev II: delivery of tissue from OR to gross room with coordination between surgeon and pathology + above.

Lev III: consenting of pre-selected patients + above.

Lev IV: special processing procedures, such as freezing, storing, special QC.
