Jessica Snow
 
Jessica is a Postdoctoral Fellow working under Thomas Resta in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology.  Originally from southern Illinois, Jessica completed her B.S. in Biology and French at the University of Illinois. She began her BSGP Ph.D. studies in Fall 2004 and defended her dissertation entitled, “Pulmonary Vasoconstrictor Reactivity Following Intermittent Hypoxia” in November, 2009. She was supported by an American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship and a National Institutes of Health Cardiovascular Scholars Training Grant. She has presented her work at the annual Experimental Biology meetings (2006-2010), the International Congress of the Microcirculatory Society, the FASEB Smooth Muscle Conference as well as the Grover Conference on the pulmonary circulation. She has two peer-reviewed first author publications in the American Journal of Physiology (Lung Cell Section) and Microcirculation and has reviewed for the Journal of Vascular Research. Jessica served as the teaching assistant for the graduate physiology course (Biomed 657) in the spring of 2007. Jessica Osmond
 
Jessica received her Ph.D. from the Medical College of Georgia in 2010. Her dissertation work investigated the effects of obesity-induced hypertension on the cerebrovasculature and stroke. Jessica joined Dr. Nancy Kanagy's laboratory in the Vascular Physiology Group at UNM in the summer of 2010, where she began studying cardiovascular complications of sleep apnea.
