Jessica Snow
Jessica is a Postdoctoral Fellow working under
Thomas Resta in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology.
Originally from southern Illinois,
Jessica completed her B.S. in Biology and French at the
University of Illinois. She began her BSGP Ph.D. studies in Fall 2004 and defended her
dissertation entitled, “Pulmonary Vasoconstrictor Reactivity Following
Intermittent Hypoxia” in November, 2009.
She was supported by an American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship and a
National Institutes of Health Cardiovascular Scholars Training Grant.
She has presented her work at the annual Experimental Biology meetings
(2006-2010), the International Congress of the Microcirculatory Society, the
FASEB Smooth Muscle Conference as well as the Grover Conference on the pulmonary
circulation. She has two peer-reviewed
first author publications in the American Journal of Physiology (Lung Cell
Section) and Microcirculation and has reviewed for the Journal of Vascular
Research. Jessica served as the teaching
assistant for the graduate physiology course (Biomed 657) in the spring of 2007.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys running, cooking and spending time with

hypertension on the cerebrovasculature and stroke. Jessica joined Dr.
Nancy Kanagy's laboratory in the Vascular Physiology Group at UNM in the
summer of 2010, where she began studying cardiovascular complications of
sleep apnea.
