The Department of Surgery at The University of New Mexico offers a full range of academic medical programs and is organized into ten clinical sections. Its full-time faculty of more than one hundred members conduct clinical and basic research in all surgical specialties and offer a wide variety of post graduate educational opportunities. Underlying its research and training programs is an extensive clinical program.
