Rebecca is a native New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque. She attended
undergraduate and medical school at UNM. Her interest is general surgery in
a community hospital with some teaching. She is undecided about a possible
fellowship at this point. Her hobbies include (besides catching up on
errands and homework), spending time with her husband and two dogs. She also
enjoys bicycling (especially her tandem bicycle with her husband) and
knitting. Rebecca has two grown children (Joshua and Emily) and is married
to a pharmacist. This is her third career followed by being a mother and a
