Surgical Oncology Division
Welcome to the Surgical Oncology Division of the Department of Surgery. We are staffed with five Surgical Oncology surgeons: Dr. Ashwani Rajput, Division Chief, Dr. John Russell who also serves as Department of Surgery Chairman, Dr. Itzhak Nir, and our newest faculty member, Dr. Katherine Morris.
Guanghua Wan, PhD, is currently working with Dr. Rajput in a single transduction laboratory focusing on colorectal cancer metastasize. Our highly dedicated mid level staff are: Tina Hunter, Michael La Belle, and Fay Pepin and our administrative support is provided by Kathie Watland. We are dedicated to clinical and academic excellence with the a mission of focus on the total patient. We are physically located at the UNM Cancer Center, 1201 Camino de Salud NE.
