The University of New
Mexico Hospital
This is our homebase and houses the faculty and resident offices.
There are ORs and clinics at this hospital. It’s a level I trauma
facility and houses the New Mexico Cancer Research and Treatment
Center, an NCI recognized cancer center.
New Mexico
Children’s Hospital
Slated for completion in 2006, this will be the only freestanding children’s
hospital in the state. It’s equipped with ORs and clinic space as well as a
pediatric ER and inpatient facilities.
Outpatient Surgery and Imaging Service
This is a busy outpatient OR where about one third of cases are performed.
The center was completed two years ago and it is a great setting to learn
outpatient procedures in an attractive and efficient setting.
VA Medical Center
Our VA is the flagship VA for the Southwest region, housing many national
services such as spinal cord rehab and SPECT imaging. This is a beautiful
facility and out clinic and office facilities are outstanding. There are 217
operating beds. Patients travel from all over this region for otolaryngology
care at this hospital.
Northeast Heights Clinic
The focus of a lot of activity recently, this clinic is being expanded and
will be our main facility for outpatient visits. After construction is
completed later this year, we will have some faculty offices, full audiology
and vestibular labs, and 6 patient exam rooms. It is a beautiful offsite
facility.
