Support Activities of Teacher & Educational Development

The Office of Teacher & Educational Development provides support for tutors, students, block chairs, and the tutorial process in the following ways:

  • Prepares and distributes room and group assignments

  • Prepares, duplicates, and distributes Tutor Book to provide tutors with information and materials needed to tutor in a particular unit

  • Formats, duplicates, and distributes tutorial cases and exhibits

  • Trains tutors (Tutor Training workshops)

 

  • Provides information for and assists with problems on on-line evaluation

  • Follows up on tutorial pass-fail certifications and narrative evaluations

  • Downloads, prints, distributes, and monitors Student Evaluation of the Tutor feedback

  • Reports tutorial information/issues to the Integrating Group

  • Stays current on and shares literature related to problem-based learning and educational theory and practice

  • Serves on curriculum committees
