PowerPoint 202:
Taking the Next Step to Quality Presentations
Workshops .. Calendar Registration

Description:
It has been estimated that there are over 30 million PowerPoint presentations a day! PowerPoint, which began as a tool for making business presentations, spread rapidly throughout academia and has become the gold standard for lectures and presentations. Having suffered through boring, overloaded, ineffective PowerPoint presentations, most teachers and learners in higher education recognize that it is, unfortunately, often used ineffectively rather than enhancing the presentation and facilitating learning. This workshop is designed to explore appropriate and inappropriate uses of PowerPoint, provide hands-on experience creating an effective PowerPoint presentation (including both using the more advanced tools and features of the software and implementing guidelines for developing a quality presentation), and identifying strategies for using PowerPoint effectively during a lecture or presentation.
