About the UNM NetID

 

You need a UNM NetID to use any WebCT course.

If you are a student or resident at UNM HSC, you probably already have been assigned a UNM NetID with a temporary password which will expire soon!!!!!!!

Forgot your NetID or password?

STEP 1  How to find out if you have a NetID:

Go to http://unmhsc.unm.edu/eGuide/servlet/eGuide, enter your last name and click Search.

 

 

 Check the last item in your demographic information.

 

 

 

STEP 2  Make sure you can keep your UNM NetID

 

Your UNM NetID password has been preset. Security issues prevent mention of the structure of the preset password. If you have not been told what that password is, contact the technical support person for your department, program or school.

 

Your password should be changed immediately at

 

 https://lamb.unm.edu/lamb-bin/SelfServ/passchreq.cgi

 

 If you do not change your password within 60 days of this orientation, your UNM NetID account will be deactivated. You will then need to contact CIRT at 277-8130 or 8131 to reinstate your account.

How to Sign up for a UNM NetID

 

If you have determined that you've not been assigned a UNM NetID, go to netid.unm.edu follow the steps there. It may take 24 hours before you are able to login to WebCT after signing up.

 

If you are not a member of the UNM or need to provide a NetID for a non-UNM person

In order to provide access to a course in WebCT to an individual who is not a student, staff or faculty member of UNM, the department, college or school requesting access must fill out this form on that person’s behalf - Request a UNM NetID For Use by a Non-UNM Individual

Demographic Errors

If the demographic information displayed is incorrect or our records about your not having a UNM NetID are in error, please email changerequest@salud.unm.edu.

 

You cannot use your NetID and password to log into WebCT

If it has been more than 24 hours since you have signed up for a NetID and you have verified your NetID and password with CIRT (see the next section), then contact your HSC WebCT Support person:

Forgot or need to check your NetID or password?

If you forgot your password and know your I-TEL-UNM PIN number, you can reset your UNM NetID password through CIRT’s website. If you forgot your password and do not know or have a PIN number, see the staff in the CIRT Computer Accounts office, Room 133 in the CIRT building. Their phone numbers are 277-8130 or 277-8131.
