Web Author Class
The HSC Web Author class will cover all topics relating to how to create and maintain a web site
at the UNM Health Sciences Center. Course outline and schedule are available below. The class will
provide at least two hours of hands on practice with HSC templates. We encourage students to work
on their departmental sites during the class.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites, but knowledge of basic HTML
(HTML Class - outline & crib sheet)
would be very helpful to the student.
Class Objectives
At the end of the class, the students will:
- understand the main purposes of the HSC web site,
- know the roles involved in the HSC web effort,
- understand the most important tasks of a Web Author,
- have a basic understanding of web usability,
- understand the importance of defining your audience,
- have a working knowledge of HSC web templates, and,
- be able to find online resources for HSC Web Authors.
