David Groth discussed the benefits of usability testing, methods of conducting usability tests and how to use the Morae software package to record usability testing sessions. Kevin Wiley talked about changes in HSC web traffic after the March go live of the new web sites. There were no major changes, but some things stood out. First, three of the high-level, mission pages (Education, Reserach and About the HSC) all moved up in the statistics.
The HSC Human Resources page has dropped off significantly in the past year, but much of that change is attributed to changes in their web site and in a change to the URL used in job ads placed in the newspaper. The URL in job ads now points people to the main UNM jobs site.
