The HSC Communications department is responsible for external and internal communication, social media for the HSC, HSC headshots and video production and the external websites for HSC.

For patients involved in newsworthy events, the HSC Communications on-call representative can provide the patient's condition, if available. The conditions used by UNM Hospital are:
Under the federal privacy law, it is required that you provide a patient's full name when requesting a condition. To avoid confusion and wrong information, the communications on-call representative will not be able to provide a condition without the patient's name.
