Biography

Brad Cushnyr, M.D., is the Vice Chair of Radiology and Medical Director of Radiology for the Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC), a community hospital of the UNM system located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Dr. Cushnyr is an active Radiologist, with a CAQ in Neuroradiology. He has a robust practice that encompasses both academic and community aspects of Radiology. Dr. Cushnyr created the current Functional Neuroradiology MRI program for the University of New Mexico, and has published in the field of Functional MRI. Dr. Cushnyr also has robust MSK intervention and GI fluoroscopy practices at SRMC. Dr. Cushnyr is dedicated to the teaching mission of our institution, and has been awarded “Teacher of the Year” in the past by our radiology residents. In addition to his commitments to the Radiology Department, Dr. Cushnyr is very active in hospital administration, having served in many administrative roles throughout the hospital. He is currently serving as the Chief of Staff for the Sandoval Regional Medical Center.
