Biography

Anna G. Fabre, MD, specializes in Interventional Radiology at the University of New Mexico, and has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. In 1995, Dr. Fabre earned her Bachelor of Science from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM, and two Minors in Biochemistry and Spanish. She graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine with her medical degree in 2005. She then completed her residency and fellowship from the University of New Mexico in 2011. Dr. Fabre joined the Department of Radiology, at the University of New Mexico, in 2011 as an Assistant Professor and is now an Associate Professor. Dr. Fabre is a member of the Interventional Radiology Lobo Wings Committee. As part of this committee, it is her objective to increase communication and implement new processes in Interventional Radiology to improve efficiency, cost, and patient safety. She has assisted in development and implementation of the Interventional Radiology program at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center, and helped with the growth and execution of the Interventional Radiology services at SRMC.

Dr. Fabre has an extensive range of experience in Interventional Radiology and treatments, which includes percutaneous treatment and endovascular treatment of hepatic, renal and osseous tumors, treatment of uterine fibroids and pelvic venous congestion syndrome, and special training in endovascular treatment of congenital vascular malformations. Dr. Fabre is a member of the multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic that specializes in treatment of congenital vascular malformations. Dr. Fabre is actively involved in mentoring and teaching junior faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and being an advocate for others.
