Personal Statement

I received a Master of Divinity at Duke University Divinity School, a clinical psychology PhD at the University of New Mexico, and will complete my internship at the Durham VA this summer. While I was a graduate research assistant with CHEK-D, I worked on data analysis, manuscript preparation, and design of new studies. Also, I was awarded a pilot study by Dialysis Clinic, Inc. to study predictors of kidney transplant evaluation clinic attendance. These roles complemented my clinical and research interests in how the science of human behavior informs interventions with patients, providers, and systems to create more equitable and humane health care. In fall 2021, I will begin a two-year interdisciplinary fellowship in the Durham VA Quality Scholars Program.
