Biography

Dr. Guo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Molecular Medicine, University of New Mexico. He is also serving as the director of Bioinformatics Shared Resources for the New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Guo has substantial experience with NIH funded projects and has served as bioinformatician on many NIH funded grants including SPORE in lung, breast, and GI cancers. Dr. Guo’s research has been focused on the development of bioinformatics methodology and analysis for genomic studies and has published more than 150 manuscripts in the related fields.

Dr. Guo is particularly experienced in machine learning applications and general bioinformatics development. Dr. Guo has been collaborating with UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) members since 2017 when he joined the UNMCCC. As the director of Bioinformatics Shared Resource, he has assisted UNMCCC members in submitting 28 national grants, publishing 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
