Personal Statement

As a Research Coordinator with CHEK-D, I have the opportunity to learn from and work with teams that are passionate about helping to address health disparities. Being an Albuquerque native, I am excited to serve residents on their journey to improved kidney health. My interest in health equity grew as an undergraduate student while I was pursing my bachelors in Psychology and Sociology, and later decided to pursue a Masters of Public Health here at the University of New Mexico. I am truly grateful to implement the skills I am learning in my graduate studies to my position and be a part of a research team that enjoys learning and improving health systems for the underserved population.

Undergrad: Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology, University of New Mexico
