Peer Tutorial Service

Sometimes the best way to learn is to get help from someone who's been there—recently. In our Peer Tutorial Service, first-year medical students can get academic help from third- and fourth-year students with expertise in specific areas. Ready to get started? Contact us today.

Travel Assistance

Your experience at the UNM Health Sciences Center is rich in experiences, such as serving on national health organizations. Sometimes, these experiences require students to travel, which costs money for transportation and lodging.

We won't let cost stand in the way of your education. We can help you get reimbursed for certain travel expenses. We handle reimbursements according to University business and accounting procedures. Reimbursable expenses generally include airline tickets, ground travel expenses, hotel and conference registration fees.

We are required to report travel reimbursements to the Student Financial Aid Office. These monies are considered income and might affect a student's eligibility for other financial aid.

Make your requests for funds in writing in advance of the event. Contact us for information.
