The ECHO Institute has been part of a USAID grant funded consortium to support the One Health University networks in Africa and Asia before the pandemic started. The USAID One Health Workforce - Next Generation (OHW-NG) project promotes global health security by empowering One Health University Networks in Africa (AFROHUN) and Southeast Asia (SEAOHUN) to build the human resources and bolster the workforce for more effective disease surveillance and control. Using a variety of pre-service and in-service formats, including One Health student clubs and experiential learning, OHW-NG is fostering One Health competencies.
From March through July the ECHO Institute supported a series of COVID-19 ECHO sessions with AFROHUN and SEAOHUN.
