The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center and Project ECHO offer best practices in caring for cancer survivors in a monthly ECHO session. Cancer affects every part of a patient's life. The experience has physical, mental, emotional, social, and financial effects that do not go away once your treatment has ended. This ECHO program is a monthly, online training and community networking for anyone working in primary care with cancer survivors.
By using the ECHO Model, participants can expect to build a network of related primary care providers, pharmacists, nurses, community health workers and staff, while receiving recommendations and shared experiences from the network to better care for patients in their home community.
The Cancer Survivorship ECHO convenes on the third Wednesday of each month, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
