Our mission is to improve the lives of miners and nuclear-weapons workers by educating and empowering professionals around the world who are involved in their care.
A major challenge when treating miners and nuclear-weapons workers is repeat cases of pneumoconiosis in the western United States. Our ECHO program, which is jointly set up by the University of New Mexico and a community-based miners’ hospital in New Mexico, uses the ECHO Model to provide long-term telementoring for lawyers, benefits counselors, respiratory therapists, home health professionals and clinicians.
The Miners’ Wellness ECHO program meets virtually every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from noon to 1:15 p.m. Mountain Time.
