As the largest community mental health provider in the state, UNM Health's Psychiatric Center is committed to providing services to all New Mexicans in need of our care. Our experienced, expertly trained staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, case managers, peer support workers and nurses.
In addition to 24/7 care for anyone having a psychiatric emergency, we have an excellent inpatient facility with 32 adult beds, 16 beds for geriatric patients, and 48 beds for children and adolescents. In addition to our services in Albuquerque, we're now helping the Rio Rancho community at our new behavioral health center at 2600 College Blvd NE, Rio Rancho. It's located on the second floor of the UNM Health Sciences Rio Rancho campus. Call us at 505-994-5050.
While we offer a wide spectrum of innovative inpatient and outpatient services, from addiction and substance abuse programs to senior care, we also aim to treat each patient with compassion and respect.
Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS)
CCSS is a recovery-based model that forms a partnership with the patient to assist them in reaching their individual goals so that they can live as independently and fully as possible. We know and believe that people can and do recover from mental illness. Services we offer include:
- Needs assessment.
- Support and assistance in reaching patient goals.
- Help with applying for entitlements, general assistance, food stamps and housing.
Referrals are required for these services and can be obtained from your doctor, nurse or social worker. For more information, please visit us at our office at 2301 Yale Blvd SE Building F in Albuquerque, or call 505-272-1221.
